Rebecca (Bec) Hewitt

Born 23rd July 1983, in Sydney, New South Wales.

Youngest child of Darrel and Michelle Cartwright, older brother Shaun and older sister Kristy.

Bec started acting at the age of 5, predominately in television advertisements.

Her first major role in mainstream television came in 1992 where at the age of 9 she starred in an episode of Police Rescue.

Bec really came to prominence when she joined the cast of award winning soap opera Home and Away in 1998, playing the role of Hayley Smith Lawson.

In 1999 Bec was nominated for a Silver Logie, Australia’s television awards, for Most Popular New Talent.

Bec won the first series of the Australian series Dancing with the Stars in 2004.

2005 was momentous year for Bec. She won the Logie for Most Popular Actress, married Lleyton in July, finished with Home and Away in August after 7 years and gave birth to Mia Rebecca on the 29th November.

Bec was nominated for two Logies in 2006, Most Popular Actress again and for the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality.
