9th November 2008

Well I’ve had a busy few weeks. Bec and I launched a massive Charity Auction on our website eswap.com where we’re putting up for auction some unbelievable items from elite sport stars to leading actors and artists worldwide to raise as much money as possible for Cure Our Kids which helps kids with cancer and their families.

I went on a week long PR campaign to try and raise as much awareness as possible for the charity. I started off in Sydney doing a heap of TV and Radio interviews before moving on to Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide and finishing off the week in Perth. I even went back to my old school in Adelaide to visit some of the kids and explain to them the great things some charities do.

I’d like to thank all the people I did interviews with during the week for their fantastic support of the auction. I think this charity is something that really touches everyone’s heart, it must be so tough to have a sick little child and spend so much time in hospitals going through tests and surgeries.

I’d love for everyone out there to talk to their friends about the auction wether they’re in Australia or overseas. It’s running throughout the whole month of November and there’s so many amazing items.

For the tennis fans there’s a signed dress from Ana Ivanovic which she wore during the 2008 French Open that she ended up winning, Rafa’s racket he used during Wimbledon this year which he went on to win, Roger Federer’s shirt he wore during the 2008 Wimbledon Championships (which wasn’t for sale). Signed John Mcenroe racket, signed Pat Rafter tennis racket, 2 tickets to the Men’s 2009 Wimbledon Final, 2 tickets to the Men’s 2009 Australian Open Final. We have a whole lot of other great sporting stuff also like Shane Warne’s signed Ashes Test shirt from his last Test series, Christano Ronaldo’s signed Manchester United shirt, Lance “Buddy” Franklin’s signed Hawthorn Guernsey, Ian Thorpe’s signed swimming cap, Adam Gilchrist’s signed cricket shirt. There’s even some awesome non-sporting items like a framed Gwen Stefani cd, Bill Clinton’s Presidental cuff links and even Snoop Dog’s signed cd.

All people have to do is log onto www.eswap.com and go to the charity auction and start bidding and you’ll have the chance to own some of this amazing stuff!!!

Also everything is going as well as planned with my rehab and comeback. It’s all still on track to start hitting in a couple of weeks time with Rochey and build it up towards the Aussie summer, which I’m really looking forward to.

Thanks everyone for your support,

Cheers

Lleyton
